AdDuplex provides data suggesting the November 2019 update of Microsoft Windows 10 is now gaining more popularity than ever before / Digital Information World

Finally, the November 2019 update version of Windows 10 (Version 1909) has started seeing more popularity than before as per AdDuplex’s recent reports. The reason is most likely the lack of general availability of the May 2020 (version 2004) of Windows 10.

More and more users wanted to upgrade Windows10 with the last updated version in May 2020, but it is not available on all devices for everyone. Microsoft is gradually rolling it out across the world. There are several ways to get this version even if your device does not fully support it, but there are chances of getting bugs and other problems that way.

So, in the meanwhile, users have turned towards Version 1909 as per some recent data collected by AdDuplex.

Windows 10 version 20H2 is currently in the last testing stages, and according to Microsoft’s typical release schedule, it should be finalized in September. If everything goes according to the plan, this new feature update should get the go-ahead for production devices in October or November. The adoption of this November 2019 version is topping the charts at the moment, with 35.5% of general adoption.

While, the version 1903, or the May 2019 version of Windows 10’s adoption worldwide is around 33.5%.

The version 2004, or the May 2020 version’s general release and adoption is standing at 24.1% as of now.

Windows 10 May 2019 update reigned the charts for a long time, even after the November 2019 version was released. Users did not switch to the new version because they thought that it was just a re-packaged, relaunched version of the May 2019 update with a few improvements here and there. Many people delayed the upgrade until Windows 10 May 2020 update got released. However, due to limited release, the latest version is not being used by the masses and now they are finally switching to the November 2019 update.

At the moment, Windows 10 May 2020 is running in one out of four Widows 10 devices, and once it rolls out for the masses, it is expected that its adoption will significantly improve too. But hopefully, it happens before the next updated version 20H2 comes. It is in the last testing phase and Microsoft is planning to release it for production devices in October or November 2020.

Approximately 0.5% of devices with Windows 10 are a part of the Windows Insider Program. These devices help in the preparation of the next update, and this is what is happening for Windows 10 version 20H2 right now. However, an important thing to remember is that many of the improvements being tested may not make it to the final 20H2 version.
